My first granddaughter turned seven today. There was a garden party ... sundresses, giggling girlfriends, arts and crafts, music for dancing, and a mom and dad who worked hard to make their little girl's day memorable and fun.
It was.

I've never commented before, but I'm a big fan of yours. I am a young mother of two girls in New Hampshire and often find myself in tears after reading your posts. I dream that someday my children will have someone to reflect so elegantly on their childhood as you do. What a wonderful gift you are giving them. :)
