Nothing fancy, just some plain talk about life in general and me in particular. Empty nests, clawfoot bathtubs, parking-lot trysts, unusual birthday gifts, accordion gigs, worldwide travel. Come along with me!

Haiku for Mother's Day
The fruit falls not far From the tree which was its source A delicious thought
Let the blossom fall Ready or in disarray It’s just gravity
Trees and mothers shed Limbs grow tired and must let go ‘Tis the stuff of life
To lose is to gain To release is to retrieve The fruit falls not far
